Until an INTRA has been approved by the District, students are required to stay in their existing school/class placements.

INTER District Transfers have two steps in their review process.

Step One:  The district of which the student resides in should receive the INTER District Transfer Request first.  They need to approve releasing the student from their rolls prior to another District accepting the student.

If a Parent/Guardian is requesting CUESD to release a CUESD student in order to attend another district's school, the INTER District Transfer Form on this page is used.  The form can also be requested through the Corning Union Elementary School District (CUESD) Office.  Once the District Office receives the completed form, by law and Board Policy, they have 10 days to review and process. If approved, the District Office will forward the form along to the next District for review and process.

Step Two:  Districts that receive an INTER District Request form asking approval to accept a CUESD student to attend one of the district's school will verify that the releasing District has reviewed and process.  Once verified, the new District will review and process according to their timeline.

Until both steps have been approved, students are required to stay in their existing school/class placements.

Is transportation provided by CUESD for an approved tranfer?

It is the repsonsiblity of the parent to provide transportation, once an INTRA or INTER District Transfer form has been approved.
