Open Enrollment Information - Benefits
Each year, an annual open enrollment period (September 1st - 30th) allows you to make new benefit elections for the following plan year. Once you make your benefit elections, you cannot change plans until the next year’s open enrollment period (September 1st - 30th). However, you may add or remove a dependent anytime if you experience a qualifying event. Examples of qualifying events include, but are not limited to the following:
- Marriage or divorce
- Birth or adoption of a child
- Death of a spouse or child
- A change in your dependent’s eligibility status
- Loss of coverage from another health plan
MyCVT is a benefits enrollment and eligibility management system that gives members on-demand information about eligibility, benefits enrollment, and document sharing through a single online service between you, your district, and CVT. The website is password-protected, secure, and confidential!
MyCVT features provide members the ability to:
- View your personal CVT plan information and dependent coverage 24/7/365.
- Access your specific CVT benefit providers and view in-network providers, claim details including deductibles, copayments, and other out-of-pocket expenses, and more.

Medical
CVT offers multiple PPO and HMO plans, High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP), Wellness Plans, and Bronze Plans utilizing the Anthem Blue Cross or Blue Shield of California network of providers.
Dental
Delta Dental of California’s Premier Network has over 23,600 Premier providers and 14,900 PPO providers that accept Delta Dental Coverage.
Your Delta Dental Plan offers additional coverage to support your overall health.

VSP Vision Care offers accessible, high-quality eyecare and eyewear through VSP network doctors and Affiliate locations.
RX
California's Valued Trust (CVT) and our prescription benefit provider, CVS/caremark™, provide prescription drug benefits for plan participants and their eligible dependents enrolled in either a CVT high-deductible health plan (HDHP) or a preferred provider organization (PPO) plan.
The following Summary of Plan Description (SPD) is a document that explain the benefits, coverage and out-of-pocket costs associated with CVT prescription plans through CVS/caremark. These prescription plans are used in combination with CVT PPO, EPO and non-Kaiser HMO plans.
