Camps are open to incoming Corning Elementary Kindergarten through 8th graders enrolled for the 2022-23 school year.
 
No refunds will be given to CUESD for registered campers who do not attend camps. Therefore, we ask that parents commit to sending their students to the camps that they register for.

Summer Camp! After some amazing summer learning with SERRF, come join us at EDMO for the end of your summer. We will be building games using engineering principles, coding in Minecraft and learning about cultures throughout the world using art and cooking! ALL Corning Union Students are welcome for FREE!
  • 4 weeks of STEAM and SEL after SERRF Program
  • Lunch, and snacks provided for all campers
  • Extended Care will be provided by Corning Parks and Recreation (separate registration required).
 
Check out our themes this summer:
Week 1:
Kindergarten: Botanical Buddies - Get lost in the nature that you create! Come explore flowers and forests through arts and crafts.
 
1-5th grades: Innovative Engineers - Grab a partner and make some cool games using principles of engineering!
 
6-8th grades: Cooking Across Continents -  Prepare to create edible masterpieces inspired by culinary creations from around the world!
 
Week 2:
Kindergarten: Summer Safari - You don’t have to fly across the world just to go on a safari. Come and make the tallest giraffe using everyday craft supplies.
 
1-5th grades: Science Super Sleuths - Take out your magnifying glass and put on your gloves as we learn the science behind solving mysteries!
 
6-8th grades: Cooking Across Continents - Prepare to create edible masterpieces inspired by culinary creations from around the world!
 
Week 3:
Kindergarten: Art Around the World - Let's explore all the things that bring us together and celebrate the differences that make us unique!
 
1-5th grades: Digital Animation - Learn how to draw, color, and animate images in EDMO’s Digital Animation Studio!
 
6-8th grades: Minecraft Coding - Have you always wanted to know how video games work? This week, campers will learn to code game elements and interactive features using Minecraft Education Edition.
 
Week 4:
Kindergarten: Tiny Techies - Welcome to the wonderful world of tech! In this class, kids will learn about computational thinking and coding through the Cubetto robot.
 
1-2nd grade: Minecraft Safari Adventure - Calling all EDMO explorers!  In this week of camp, kids will embark on an epic, multi-biome adventure all while learning about and practicing fundamental skills in computer literacy.
 
3-5th grade: Minecraft Coding - Have you always wanted to know how video games work? This week, campers will learn to code game elements and interactive features using Minecraft Education Edition.
 
6-8th grade: Robotics Club - Explore the world of robotics and join the EDMO™ Robotics Club!
  
  

CAMP WILD HEART

Self-directed Summer Day camp experience where campers can learn through the freedom to choose exciting, hands-on, academic, and enrichment opportunities. Daily activities are led by kind, respectful adults who are excited to share their skills. Science, Art, Animals, Nature, Creativity, and Good Old-Fashioned Fun and Play!

Sports Camp
 

NIKE BASEBALL CAMP

Open to students ages 9 – 12 and 13 – 16
July 11 - 14, 2022
9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Monday – Thursday
 
Development of physical and mental game fundamentals from professional instructors
who will teach the game inside and out.
Groups will be divided by age and ability.
Camp is intended to give the player all the
skills necessary to improve and take their
game to the next level. In addition, pitchers
will have the opportunity to work with
pitching instructors. You can expect high
demand on these first-come-first-serve
camper spots, so please be sure to register
early.
 
Registration is handled through the district
office. Parents of interested students need to
make an appointment with the Corning
Elementary School District office in order to
complete the registration.

TURTLE BAY DISCOVERY CAMPS

Redding, CA for 7 - 12 year-olds

Dependent upon the number of campers that register, CUESD may be able to provide transportation to and from Turtle Bay for Day Camp times only (not extended care). Parents can choose to drive their students and get reimbursed for mileage (mileage reimbursement process must be followed. SUMMER SERRF - ACCELERATE SUMMER LEARNING

Woodson Elementary School - Registration is CLOSED
 
Paper Registration Forms can be picked up at the Woodson School and when completed, the student will be placed on a Waiting List.  SERRF staff will contact parents if and when their students can attend.
 
Open to incoming Kindergarten – 8th-grade students.  Free to CUESD students

Breakfast and Lunch provided.  Limited transportation provided - Corning area only.
 
SERRF (Safe Education and Recreation for Rural Families) provides an enriching summer learning program for TK-8 students which offers instruction in academics, enrichment, and recreation.
 

PAL EXTENDED SUMMER PROGRAM

PAL will host an extended summer program following SERRF and Camp EDMO from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m. for incoming Kinder-incoming 8th grade. 
 
For nine weeks, three hours per day, your child will be introduced to mentoring through curriculum, sports, and community engagement. For one and a half hours your child will engage in PAL Mentoring curriculum implementation, in a fun and interactive way. Bringing together a collaborative experience with their mentors, cops, and fellow community business members. For the next one and a half hours, your child will engage in PAL sports programming.
